About Me

ML: I've always been an animal lover; growing up I had cats, one or two dogs and a few rabbits, but I didn't know the first thing about caring for a pet. Fast forward... I have 3 beautiful dogs, aged 10, 10, and 5; we've lived happily in the lovely Texas country for nearly 8 years, and I was 100% sure that Lady, Cheech and Capitan were my last pets. Then Billy G, a darling 2 month old Boer goat, came into the picture last March. A couple of months later I added 3 ducks and 2 rabbits, and in early August, Gizmo, a darling 1 week old Pygmy goat, joined the family. Two weeks later, I brought home Pygmy doelings Sophie and Maya. Am considering getting some chickens, and then...we'll see. People think I'm crazy; trust me, I'm not. Animals keep me sane. The work is hard, but rewarding. Physical activity helps me forget about the aches and pains of aging. For a while, anyway. After a full day's work in the 'farm' and yard, I meet with BenGay following my date with Epsom salts and hot water. Still, I would not give this up for a million dollars. God's presence surrounds us. I feel peaceful and content. So much to be grateful for!

My Little Place

My little place is small and simple; God brought me here, and I'm grateful for it. This is where I feel complete peace--a peace that surpasses all understanding; God's presence surrounds me and I feel safe. I can't wait for Richie to grow up and begin spending weekends with me.
